Volleyball

1. We will be using High School National Federation Rules for all ages.
2. Players may play above, but in no circumstance below, their respective age division. 
3. Levels of team/age division, age as of September 1st for the season’s academic year .  Varsity 18 & under  JV *When entering one team in the 15-18 age division, field them as a varsity team. If you then have enough players after fielding a Varsity Team field a JV      team at that point. (First year   teams/programs will be exempt from this rule and may field a JV team without a varsity team.) Special requests regarding this rule may be reviewed and considered by league administrators. Freshman 14 & under 12 & under co-ed (U12)   10 & under co-ed (U10) 
4. All matches shall be 2 out of 3 games. 
5. The first two games will be to 25 points and must be won by 2 points. Tournament games will be adapted to fit the game time schedule. The third game if necessary shall be to 15 points and also won by two points.
6. All games are rally score.
7. Net rule on serve; serve is good if it hits the net on the serve and lands in bounds. 
8. Each team shall provide one adult line judge each to help the referee with line calls.
9. The home team shall provide a referee and score keeper. 
10. Serve receive rule: Clean overhead sets are acceptable. No attacking or blocking a serve.  
11. No touching the net. 
12. Under the net rule: complete foot on other side is a violation and any other part of the body that interferes with game play.
13. Game Ball may be a multi-colored ball. Examples of acceptable game balls Tachikara SV5WSC, Tachikara  SV5WS, Spalding TF 5000; 12 & unders and 10 & under teams may together agree to use a youth size volleyball. 
14. Home team leads the prayer at center court before each match. 
15. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of their players and their respective spectators.  
16. Scorekeepers, callers, timers at the official table must refrain from standing, cheering, and other distracting behavior. You will be subject to ejection by the officials. No other persons are to be at or near the official table.
17. A player, coach, parent, or spectator that is ejected from a game will have a mandatory suspension from the next scheduled game. 
18. 12 & under and lower divisions may serve underhanded up to six feet in front of the end line, all overhand serving must be behind the end line.
